U4GM Shares Diablo 4 Paladin Tips for Season 14

Blizzard has gone back to the Paladin with a proper round of Season 14 buffs, and you can feel the intent straight away. If you were running D4 items around this class in Season 13, the shift should be obvious: more damage on core tools, shorter cooldowns, and a few Oaths that finally look worth building around again. It is not just one flashy skill getting attention either. The patch touches the pieces that decide whether a Paladin feels smooth or clunky in real play.

What Blizzard changed first

The biggest thing here is that Blizzard did not just sprinkle a few numbers around and call it a day. Zealot, Judicator, Juggernaut, and Disciple Oaths all got real damage bumps, while Zenith, Shield Charge, and Heaven's Fury were pushed harder too. That matters because Paladin players have been asking for two things for a while now: better burst and less waiting around. The Season 14 notes seem to answer both, at least on paper. If you look back at the last two seasons, that is a pretty sharp turnaround from where the class was sitting.

Why players are paying attention

People remember the Paladin as the class that ran the table in Seasons 11 and 12, then got knocked down hard in Lord of Hatred. Season 13 was rough. Leaderboards said as much. So when the new notes started showing bigger hits on damage and a cleaner flow on cooldowns, the reaction was easy to understand. You do not need a deep theorycraft session to see the logic. Shield Charge now hits much harder and comes back faster. Heaven's Fury is suddenly something you can press twice as often. That alone changes how a run feels.

Change Before After
Judicator Oath damage 60% 80%
Shield Charge cooldown 10 seconds 8 seconds
Heaven's Fury cooldown 30 seconds 15 seconds
Supplication damage 60-80% 120-160%

The skills that stand out

Some of the buffs are just plain easy to read. Zenith's initial and final hits both go up, Advance keeps its Weaken window active for twice as long, and Wing Strikes gets a cleaner damage bump. There are also some defensive gains tucked in there, like more armor from Aegis and stronger resistances from Defiance Aura. That mix is important. A lot of players only look at raw damage, but the class feels better when it can stay in the fight without folding over the second something nasty lands on the screen.

  • Shield Charge now has much better impact and pacing.
  • Heaven's Fury is far less punishing to use.
  • Several Oaths now reward committed Paladin setups more clearly.
  • Unique items like Supplication got huge damage jumps.

What this could mean next

Season 14 still looks like a general power-up season, so the Paladin is not being lifted alone. That is the catch. Other classes are getting help too, and that means the real test will come once people settle into endgame builds and start pushing Pit tiers again. Even so, this is a much better starting point than the PTR made it look. If you liked the Paladin before, there is a good chance you will like it again, and if you dropped it after Season 13, this might be the season to come back and buy cheap D4 items that fit a fresh build without wasting time on the old mess.
